Fore cabin

The Elan 333 fore cabin sleeps 2, in relative comfort.

Elan 333 double berth in the forepeak

The port side is shorter than the starboard side.  The usual feet tangle can ensue unless the starboard sleeper sleep higher in the berth.
There is standing room with the door closed, with full head room if you are a little shorter than average.
An insert can be fitted at the head of the berths, which give a bit more space.  However, the insert has a tendency to dive out until you are settled.  If you are standing, it will always aim at a toe ..... painful!
Under the berth are to water tight compartments (upto the level of the berth).  In the aft most, the reside the holes in the hull for the depth and log transducers.
On the starboard side, there is an open shoe locker.
On the port side is a hanging locker.
Around both side are shelves.
There is both a reading light, and a cabin light.
A full sized deck hatch makes morning quite bright, unless a curtain / cover is fitted.
